Requirements: MUST NOT BE PROHIBITED BY LAW FROM POSSESSING FIREARMS. 100% class attendance. Student is required to provide weapon, holster, belt, 3 magazines (automatic) or 2 speed loaders (revolver), 200 rounds of ammunition and ear / eye protection. Ammunition and ear / eye protection can be purchased at facility. Please call for information regarding shotgun certification. Class times are 8am to 6pm. Early registration is recommended as class size is limited.

Course Description: 2-day Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission approved course trains the student according to the standards of the State of Ohio for Private Security. First day of training is classroom and second day of training is on the range. The OPOTC Private Security Firearms Certification Course covers topics including, but not limited to, Ohio Revised Code statues, legal issues, liability related to the use of firearms, use of force, safety procedures, weapon proficiency, shooting techniques and tactics. Live range fire will cover all aspects learned in the classroom with student performance objectives. Students will be tested in both classroom and range according to State of Ohio standards. Each student will receive an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certificate and an ISA certificate upon successful completion of course.
