Requirements: Six Week Course. Class times are Monday through Friday 6pm to 10pm. A detailed schedule will be provided on the first day of class. Early registration is recommended as class size is limited.

Course Description: Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission approved course trains the student according to the standards of the State of Ohio for Private Security, and provides the student with base knowledge and skills to become a security officer. Course titles include but are not limited to Role of Private Security; Overview of the Legal System; Criminal Law; Laws of Arrest; Search & Seizure; Public Relations; Crisis Situations; Dealing with Persons with Developmental Disabilities; Cultural Sensitivity; Report Writing; Physical Security; Retail Security; Personnel Security; Crime Prevention; Fire Safety; Patrol Techniques; Crowd Control; Unarmed Self Defense; and First Aid/CPR. Each student will receive an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certificate and ISA certificate upon successful completion of course.

** Firearms Certification can also be included and is an additional 2-day course.
